US TIPS (TIP)


US TIPS stands for US Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities. This investment is a type of Treasury security that provides protection against inflation. The principal value of TIPS increases with inflation and decreases with deflation, while the interest rate remains fixed. TIPS are considered a low-risk investment and are often used as a hedge against inflation in a diversified investment portfolio.
